No, paid Facebook is not necessary for success. Posting quality organic (non-paid) content people want to consume, like, share, and comment on is VERY beneficial. Especially in local markets. Tap into existing groups and spend time engaging on socials rather than paid ads.
The best channel is the one you commit to! You can have success on any platform if you focus on it. It's better to pick 1-2 channels to excel at and engage followers rather than put minimal effort in maintaining 4+ channels.
Daily. Do something every single day. It does not always have to be your own content, you can share and engage in other ways as well. But you should aim to actually post your own content a minimum of 5 days a week to stay relevant in followers minds. They are on socials multiple times a day and you should be too!
Stay connected and be responsive. When someone messages or emails follow up within two days, ideally one so that you can be ready as soon as they want to take action. The longer wait times in between touch points the more people fall off.
Share, like, comment, post consistently! When you engage on other peoples' socials they are significantly more likely to engage on yours. And staying active is #1 to a successful campaign. One week of posting is not going to amount to much you need to stay on top of it and post relevant content long-term to stay top of mind so followers think of you first when they need someone in your industry.
