I started my agent journey in car sales (hello Camero Kelly!) and I had a customer push me towards a real estate career—I’m so grateful for that! I spent 3 years building my own brokerage and property management firm in Mississippi. Then my family moved back to Wisconsin and here I am building a career for the THIRD time! Now I’m doing it with even more gusto with a local podcast and this agent marketing agency.
Through car sales and real estate I’ve discovered a true enjoyment of marketing and a love for helping others grow their business. My goal is to grow my business, by helping others grow theirs. He had just signed up to be in the U.S. Navy when we met, in April of 2015. By July he was off to bootcamp. We quickly knew we were meant to be. In October we got engaged, and by December we were married.
The following week I moved cross country to Gulfport, Mississippi to be with him. I had to start all over there. I found a really amazing job in car sales and quite enjoyed the sales environment. While there, a client mentioned I should take my talents for sales to real estate. We stayed in touch, but at the time it wasn’t for me.
Things aligned and an opportunity for us to move back home came. We thought and prayed on it, and took it. We sold everything we had there, my company, our home and a big piece of land. It was an incredibly hard decision to make and I really struggled after we left. The transition moving back home to Fond du Lac, WI was harder than I anticipated and childcare was hard to find so I stayed home.
We finally got into the daycare I wanted for our son. I got back at things full time and am now doing it better than I did in Mississippi, making it a goal of mine to grow my business by helping others grow theirs. Documenting every step of the way, hoping to inspire others.
I had worked at Jimmy John’s a good deal, including in high school and college. It was great experience, but not the perfect fit for me.
I called that past client and said I was ready to be in real estate. I quickly got licensed and sold my first house a month later. I also began property management and helping tenants find rentals.
I achieved top producer and welcomed our second child.
